How We Redesigned PayxPos in 6 Weeks

PayxPos came to us with a product that worked, but one that was starting to show the seams of many fast sprints. Merchants could take payments, but they could not easily find what they needed next.
We started by mapping the real jobs of a cashier: take a payment, check a history, issue a refund, close the day. Then we rebuilt the interface around those jobs, not around the database tables underneath them.
In six weeks we moved from audit to launch. The new flow cut the number of taps per transaction, reduced support tickets, and gave PayxPos a calm interface their merchants could rely on during busy hours.
